Why Rich Presence
- It is official. Discord built it for apps like this.
- No token or password ever leaves your PC.
- Nothing automates your account: Statusong only tells the Discord app on your own PC what to show.
What goes in the card
The title line shows the song and artist. The line under it is the current lyric, replaced as the song moves. A progress bar and the album cover complete it, so it looks like a proper music card.
How the timing stays right
Statusong tracks the song’s position from Windows and recalculates which line should be showing, so the lyric stays in step even after you skip or seek. Discord limits how often an activity can change, so very fast lines are joined into one.
Requirements
- Statusong on Windows 10 or 11
- The Discord desktop app, not the browser version
- Pro, to send the lyric to Discord
Questions
Can I use my own Discord application?
Yes. Statusong ships with its own, but you can paste your own application ID if you want the card to carry your own name.
Why is the card not showing?
Check that the Discord desktop app is open, that "Share your detected activity" is on in Discord’s activity privacy settings, and that you allowed Statusong the first time.
