Discord status lyrics

Discord status lyrics that move with the song

A lyric in your Discord status is a small way to say how you feel. Doing it by hand means typing a new line every few seconds. Statusong does it for you, in time with the music, and gives you two ways to show it.

Option 1: the activity card (recommended)

The lyric appears inside a "Listening to" card on your profile, next to the song name and a progress bar. It uses Discord’s official Rich Presence, needs no password and no token, and is allowed by Discord’s rules. You only need the Discord desktop app open.

Option 2: the custom status line

If you want the lyric in the little bubble next to your avatar, Statusong can write it into your custom status. This mode needs your Discord token, and Discord’s rules do not officially allow automating your account that way, so it is optional and at your own risk. Most people are happier with option 1.

Effect emoji

In Pro, the word effects can add a matching emoji to the line your friends see: wings can add a dove, fire adds a flame, rain adds a cloud. It is a tiny detail that makes the status feel alive.

What you need

  • A Windows 10 or 11 PC
  • The Discord desktop app, open while you listen
  • Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes or a browser player
  • Statusong, free to download, with Pro for the Discord part

Questions

Is my Discord account safe?

With the activity card, yes: it is the official feature and Statusong never sees your password or token. The custom status line mode is the one that needs a token, and it is clearly marked as optional and at your own risk.

Can I change what the status says when there are no lyrics?

Yes. You choose whether Discord shows the song title or clears the status when a song has no synced lyrics.
